1. The Hand and Flowers

The Hand and Flowers may just be the most beautiful and romantic restaurant in Marlow. It’s the first and only gastropub in the UK to earn two Michelin stars, and it’s clear why – the food is exquisite.

Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge has put a lot of love into this place, and it really shows. When you book a table you know you’re going to be treated to a real meal, not some frozen or over-the-top creation. It’s the perfect place for a special night out and an incredible food experience as you eat in a gorgeous 17th century dining room.

You’ll enjoy sublime UK cuisine here made with only the finest ingredients, cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, like a country pub should be, and the service is exceptional. And if you visit on Sunday, you’ll get to enjoy a double Michelin-starred roast! Yum!

Of course, if you want to enjoy a weekend meal at The Hand and Flowers, you’re going to have to book months in advance. But it’s definitely worth it!

Although here’s a tip for you, sometimes they have last minute availability. If they do there will be an announcement at the top of the pub’s website so make sure you keep an eye out.

2. The Ivy Marlow Garden

If you’re looking for a bit of old-school glamour and glitz in your dining experience, The Ivy is the perfect spot. It’s also a popular spot for Afternoon Tea, which has become something of a speciality at The Ivy.

With charming Art Deco decor and a focus on quality service, this Marlow institution will make you feel like a celebrity – even if only for an evening. The food here is classic and simple, but always delicious, and at prices that won’t break the bank. From the moment you walk in, you’ll be able to appreciate the artistry of this restaurant.

Some of our favourite dishes on the menu include Jackfruit Bang Bang Salad and Duck Curry, but do make sure you ask the staff about the daily specials. Whatever you order, it’s sure to be delicious.

3. Da Luca Restaurant

If you’re in the mood for authentic Italian cuisine, look no further than Da Luca. This hidden gem is one of the best restaurants in Marlow, with a menu featuring everything from seafood to classic pasta comfort foods.

The service here is warm and inviting, and the prices are very reasonable. The food isn’t fancy or pretentious in any way, but it’s absolutely scrumptious. The linguine is fantastic, and their desserts will satisfy even the biggest sweet tooth.

Da Luca’s pizzas are delicious, and you can’t go wrong with their seafood pasta dish either. When you’re done with your meal, be sure to try one of their authentic Italian desserts. You won’t be disappointed.

If you’re looking for a laid-back dining experience in a no frills environment, but still with excellent taste, then this is a great choice. They have a wonderful outside terrace too for days when the sun comes out.

4. The Vanilla Pod

As you walk down the quaint streets of Marlow, England, you may come across a beautiful yet unassuming black door. Inside, you’ll find an even more beautiful restaurant called The Vanilla Pod.

This restaurant serves French-inspired cuisine and is extra special because it was once home to literary legend T.S. Eliot. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate, and the food is divine. If you’re looking for a fine-dining experience, this is the place for you.

The Chef-owner Michael Macdonald is the backbone of this place. He certainly knows his way around a kitchen as the dishes are simply sublime and sure to please even the most discerning palate. After all, there’s a reason why this Marlow restaurant has earned two AA Rosettes and was once named in the top 100 UK restaurants by The Times.

The scallops and the black pudding come highly recommended, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

The Vanilla Pod is a must-visit if you’re in this picturesque town and looking to taste some of the best food in the region. The have a wonderful and extensive cocktail selection too – possibly the best in town.

5. The Giggling Squid

The Giggling Squid is a Thai restaurant that is as stylish and colourful as the dishes are delicious. Set in a gorgeous old building with exposed wooden beams, the menu has a wide variety of options from full-size main courses to tapas-style dishes that are perfect for those with a smaller appetite or want to share. In fact this is probably the only place we’ve ever had Thai food tapas style, which makes it worth the visit alone!

The spices in the food range from mildly spicy to palate-tinglingly hot, so there’s something for everyone. It’s conveniently located on West Street as well, and really is the perfect option in Marlow if you’re looking for a taste of Thailand.

Pad Thai is the restaurant’s most famous dish of course, but there are plenty of options, including tasty items like duck and vegetable curry. If you’re looking for a fun, trendy dining experience in Marlow, make sure to schedule a visit here.

6. The Coach

The Coach is another Michelin-starred pub located in the heart of Marlow, England. The pub is brought to you by the same team behind The Hand and Flowers and is led by head chef Tom De Keyser.

The Hand and Flowers may be the most popular restaurant in Marlow, but locals know they can always head to The Coach for a meal that is just as delicious but without such a wait. That’s because this place doesn’t take reservations unless you book up on the same day that you dine. So there’s always the potential to eat here – even if you’re on a spontaneous trip to Marlow.

Some of the tables are a bit cramped in – this pub isn’t very big – so be sure to get there early so you can grab the excellent window tables. But this pub is well-loved by locals for its exceptional food, lively atmosphere, and lovely range of ales.

If you’re looking for something truly special, be sure to order the mussels with stout broth – it’s a favourite! The Coach Burger may just be the best burger you ever taste, same for the Coach Chicken Kiev with Bolognese. It’s real comfort food served here, but prepared better than you can imagine.

7. La Cantina Del Vino

This rustic Italian restaurant has been converted from a barn, and the exposed oak beams and matching décor give it a warm, inviting atmosphere.

The team here always welcome you with open arms and they’ll make sure your time dining is unforgettable. La Cantina’s beautiful setting and stunning décor will make you feel right at home, and their delicious cuisine will leave you wanting more. If you’re looking for a fine-dining experience that is sure to please everyone, this could be the place for you.

Paulo De Sousa – the head chef – is dedicated to creating good, authentic, seasonal Italian food, so you know the food will be delicious. Prawns, Seabass, and Scallops steal the show at La Cantina Del Vino, so be sure to give them a try.

There’s also a wonderful outside courtyard lit up by twinkling lights perfect for al fresco dining, romantic dinners, or enjoying one of La Cantina’s wine selections. This is easily one of our favourite restaurants in Marlow.

8. Fego

Marlow is filled with charming cafes and restaurants, each one with its own unique charm. If you’re looking for a cool and modern spot to enjoy a coffee and some delicious food, Fego is a great choice.

This trendy cafe is part of a small chain, and they serve up some of the most inventive lunches and sandwiches in town. It’s a laid back spot, perfect for casual dining if you don’t fancy one of Marlow’s more upmarket restaurants.

They have amazing skillet dishes and shakshuka that will make your mouth water. From poached eggs and sauteed potatoes, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Also, the chicken burger is one of the best we’ve ever tasted!

Where they really stand out is breakfast though, with several delectable egg dishes and soft fluffy pancakes available. If you’re looking for breakfast or brunch, this is probably one of the best Marlow restaurants for you.

9. Satollo

If you fancy a taste of Italy in Marlow, you’ll want to check out Satollo. At this cafe and wine bar you can enjoy fresh Italian food like gourmet ciabattas and focaccias, salads, arancini, meat and cheese boards, and more.

10. Sindhu

If you’re looking for a breathtaking culinary experience, look no further than Sindhu. This acclaimed restaurant has arguably the best views of any of the restaurants in Marlow. It overlooks the tranquil banks of the River Thames and serves up menus that pay homage to traditional Indian cuisine.

Of course the views aren’t the main attraction, the food is, and chef Atul Kochhar is twice Michelin starred!

The beautiful setting, complete with stunning views, is a real bonus, as is the attentive service and exceptional cooking. Whether you’re looking for an intimate dinner for two or a special event, Sindhu will likely exceed your expectations.

The service is outstanding and sets high standards for the rest of the industry. The Indian food is cooked to perfection and has stunning flavors, just as you’d expect.

The halibut and the prawns are superb, but the whole menu is brilliant. Sindhu offers a great selection of Indian dishes with bold flavours, so be sure to order anything that catches your eye.

If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience, this is the place to be. Just remember to book weeks in advance if you plan to dine on weekend evenings.

11. Coopers Roastery & Coffee Bar

If you’re looking for a dreamy cup of coffee, look no further than Coopers Roastery & Coffee Bar. This spot is tucked away on an industrial estate east near Marlow Station, but it’s well worth the trek.

With their own roasters on-site, as well as a kitchen whipping up some of the best breakfasts, brunches, and lunches in town, this place has something for everyone. It might seem like a hipster hangout, but it’s dog and family-friendly and has live music on Fridays!

The coffee is served by friendly baristas and complemented perfectly with food of all shapes and sizes. You’ll also find a good variety of smoothies, fresh juices, and cocktails.

The Marlow Bar & Grill is one of the most charming and popular restaurants in Marlow for meat centric dishes! It’s located on the busy High Street and is a favourite among locals. Guests can relax in the bar lounge or dine in the restaurant whilst watching the chefs in action in the open kitchen. The restaurant serves classic seasonal cooking, amazing steaks, and brilliant cocktails to match.

When walking through the restaurant, you will discover a hidden delight – a brand new ultra-modern all-weather terrace that allows al fresco dining, rain, or shine. This innovative terrace features a retractable roof, suspended heat lamps and low comfy seating.
