Our Top Eight White Marsh Restaurants: Food Worth Waiting For!

1. Red Brick Station

A wide variety of pub fare and beers served in a cheery atmosphere with a patio and live music

Located right inside The Avenue at White Marsh open-air mall, Red Brick Station has been in the neighborhood since 1997 and was one of the first few brewpubs in Maryland.

It’s considered a staple among locals for easy-going pub fare and English-styled beers, and the super cheery ambiance certainly helps keep the place packed and full of chatter. Inside this vibrant place, you’ll find a long and spacious full-service bar with plenty of TV screens along with regular tables, and some fire-station-themed decor.

Their covered patio is even livelier, as it’s accompanied by fire pits for the cold months, and overlooks the lush green open-air square at the center of the mall. Top that with the live music and karaoke they often have going on, and you’re in for a fun meal!

As for the food, let’s say you might be slightly overwhelmed by the sprawling list of eclectic offerings – there’s just so much to choose from! Even so, everything they serve is known for being tasty, hot, fresh, and made to please.

The menu has everything from comforting stuff like wings, nachos, and juicy burgers, to elevated stuff like Teriyaki glazed salmon, surf n turf platters, and some decadent pasta. Plenty of creative salads and English picks like fish and chips also grace the menu, along with many tap beers to wash all that stuff down with.

Don’t forget to check out the daily specials either, and if you’re here on a Sunday, consider their brunch offerings (10 am-1 pm) that include some stellar mimosas!

Drop by any day from 11 am onwards (10 am on Sundays) for some of the best pub food in the area, and stay for the lively atmosphere and events!

2. Konoko Jamaican Restaurant

Fine dining restaurant serving Jamaican cuisine in an upscale ambiance with live reggae and a spacious outdoor patio

Looking for a fun place to splurge and treat yourself? Head towards Konoko – one of the best White Marsh restaurants around. A recent addition to the neighborhood’s dining scene, Chef Jazz’s Konoko made quite a splash after its opening and is quickly gaining popularity for its spectacular Jamaican offerings and upscale ambiance.

Settle inside their sun-lit, tropical-themed, and tastefully designed dining room, where fancy light fixtures, modern decor, and a swanky, marble-top bar make the atmosphere super classy. They’ve even got a room upstairs designed for special events, while the patio lets you sit on pretty seats under the glow of string lights.

As of now, they’ve got a tight menu of Jamaican specialties that keeps choices limited, but whatever they do serve is impeccably executed and tastes phenomenal. One bite into these authentically Jamaican dishes, and you’ll find yourself being airlifted to the gorgeous Jamaican shores – seriously, we’re not kidding!

For starters, try the ackee and saltfish tostones – Jamaica’s national dish, before you move on to the main stars of the meal. Braised oxtail that’s literally falling off its bone and a flavorsome curried goat always manages to wow the guests. Meanwhile, the chef’s special creations are a fusion of Jamaican and American/Italian flavors and are great for those who are first-timers and are just dipping their toes into this cuisine.

Vegan options and lunch specials at a discounted price are served every day from 11.30 am to 3 pm, and whatever you get is always presented in an aesthetically pleasing style.

Frequent live reggae, along with happy hours (4-7 pm) ensures everyone can relish this fine dining experience the Jamaican way. Oh and, reservations are a must unless you get lucky or plan to sit at the bar where walk-ins are always welcome. Konoko is open every day from 11.30 am onwards (noon on Sundays).

3. Wayward Bar and Kitchen

American fare and drinks served in a rustic-chic setting with an outdoor bar and patio and frequent live music

Wayward Bar and Kitchen, formerly known as Wayward Smokehouse, has been the locals’ go-to place for good drinks and even better food for a while now.

With a commitment to serving only the best and offering exceptional service, their team ensures that customers keep coming back for more at this northern outpost. Inside their rustic yet chic wood-paneled interior, you’ll find a casual and lively atmosphere, with a spacious bar, lots of TVs, and a small stage where they host regular live music.

As for the patio, it’s absolutely stunning with an outdoor bar, plenty of tables alongside a fire pit, and an overall chic aesthetic that’s perfect for drinks while catching up with your pals.

Recently, Wayward revamped its menu, now serving elevated American eats instead of smoked meats, and boy, can they whip up some mean food! Tuna poke tacos, pork belly sliders with Korean BBQ sauce, and a rich pizza fondue can be savored as appetizers while you sip on some stellar drinks.

A tight list of entrees includes a heartwarming french onion pot pie and a chipotle bourbon-glazed pork belly steak that can make you roll your eyes in delight. Or if you’re positively ravenous, try their triple patty, cheese, and caramelized onions-loaded Big Poppa burger or a refreshing Caprese grilled cheese with a touch of pesto for a light bite.

Oh and, don’t skimp out on the sweet tooth nachos for dessert – they’re served tableside, and come topped with a cheesecake sauce. No wonder it’s such a crowd-pleaser!

Happy hours are every day from 4-7 pm, so do consider dropping by any day of the week from 11 am onwards to as late as 2 am at the bar on weekends.

4. The Curious Oyster

Adjoining its sister eatery Wayward Bar and Kitchen is The Curious Oyster – a seafood temple every neighborhood wishes they had. It’s clearly a favorite among locals and one of the best White Marsh restaurants in town, and you’ll know why as soon as you step inside this place.

With muted colors and a rustic chic aesthetic, this restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere for you to chow down fresh oysters and creative seafood dishes. The main draw of the room is their elaborate and beautifully-lit bar – one of the best in this neighborhood. You can also settle on one of their few outdoor tables when the sun is out and you can be reminded of how pleasant The Avenue at White Marsh is.

Lunch comes with the freshest of raw oysters, sandwiches (including a yummy lobster roll!), and tacos, along with small plates of mussels, charred octopus, and other seafood favorites. The dinner menu is almost similar, except that it extends to expertly prepared entrees. Expect stuff like salmon over a rich cauliflower risotto and English peas and some creamy shrimp and scallop pasta. In case you’re dining with someone who’s not into seafood, they also offer a smoked prime rib entree and the Wayward burger, so everyone can join in on the experience.

Sunday brunch (11 am to 2 pm) offers a glorious spread of crabby omelets, seafood benedict, and chicken and waffles, along with all your favorite brunch cocktails prepared by talented mixologists. They’re open every day from 11 am onwards, but do consider making a reservation to avoid long waits!

5. Casa Mia

Casual eatery serving subs and other Italian favorites with a roomy patio, a bar, and regular live music

On days when you aren’t looking for an elaborate dining scene and just want to munch on satisfying comfort food, Casa Mia is your place for all of that. One of the oldest White Marsh restaurants having opened way back in 1986, this eatery specializes in hot/cold subs, their ever-so-popular crab cakes, and comfort Italian eats like pasta and pizza.

And although it’s a pretty laid-back restaurant, the recent makeover has given the place very chic vibes, especially with the addition of the bar with TVs and mood lights. During summer, you can also settle outside on their spacious and covered patio that’s surrounded by potted palms, where regular live music breathes life into the area.

Their huge menu spans several pages, with pretty much every Italian favorite you can think of. After an eclectic selection of appetizers, turn your attention to their sprawling list of subs, wraps, and sandwiches. Overstuffed and piled high with toppings, these are some truly hefty sandwiches that are great for a quick lunch – the cheese steak hot subs are particularly tempting!

Entrees involve pasta, chicken steaks, and fajitas, along with seafood platters including fresh jumbo lump crab meat, shrimp, and haddock. They’ve even got pizzas, such as their famous crab cake pizza. When we said they’ve got a huge menu, we meant it!

With interesting wines and vibrant cocktails, you can enjoy a nice casual meal inside their newly revamped space any day from 7 am onwards to late into the night on weekends. Fun fact: they’ve got an adjoining liquor store that’s open all week long!

6. Taco Love Grill

Tacos and other Mexican favorites served in a casual ambiance with a bar, regular live music, and sidewalk seating

There are a few things you can expect when dining at Taco Love Grill: the room will be cheery and bright, a fish tank worth of tequila will be passed around the table, and the food will be authentically Mexican and consistently good.

Established in 2011, you can judge why it’s one of the best White Marsh restaurants by how busy it stays throughout the week. To complement the festive food, the atmosphere inside is lively as ever, with live Mariachi every Thursday night, and a roomy bar to chug down the 100s of tequilas and mezcals available here. Or, you could cozy up on their sidewalk seats when the weather is nice.

As expected, the folks at Taco Love really do love tacos, and that shows when you order some off the menu. Stewed meat, fresh veggies and house sauces packed inside lightly griddled homemade tortillas make for some stellar tacos that keep the crowds coming back for more.

Other entrees revolve around fajitas, enchiladas, lump crab quesadillas, enormous burritos, steaks, and tortas stuffed with all the Mexican trimmings you could ever want. Pair that with their margaritas, which by the way are a very generous pour here, and you’ll be all set for the day.

Oh and, don’t miss out on Saturday brunch, when you can get your hands on some decadent Huevos del Rancho and breakfast burritos alongside mimosas and bloody marys!

Open Monday-Saturday from 11.30 am onwards, Taco Love Grill is your best bet for getting a taste of Mexico’s bold flavors along with a very upbeat and festive ambiance.

7. G&A Restaurant

A long-standing local favorite serving hot dogs and burgers in a casual atmosphere with a patio

Anyone who’s grown up in the Baltimore area remembers G&A restaurant since the place has been around for decades, feeding the neighborhood with their iconic Coney Island hot dogs and gravy french fries.

Earlier this year, the restaurant moved to its new location in White Marsh on Honeygo Square, with the same ever-so-popular menu and hospitable service. The new space is much more trendy, though, with neutral colors and modern decor inside a small dining room. But in case you want to dine alfresco, check out their huge patio that has weather protection and the capacity to seat over 40 hungry patrons!

A menu full of overstuffed sandwiches, fried foods, and some seafood keeps things simple, yet unbelievably mouth-watering.

Start with your favorite finger foods such as onion rings, chicken tenders, or mozzarella sticks before you move on to their sizable burgers and sandwiches. While their Cuban hoagie and chicken souvlaki wrap are some of the best in the area, we urge you to try their fan-favorite Coney Island hot dog or burger. One bite into these homemade savories, and you’ll be adding this place to your top three best White Marsh restaurants in no time! Other notable items include a refreshing shrimp salad and crab cake platters, alongside a melt-in-the-mouth beef brisket.

G&A is open Tuesday-Sunday, 8 am onwards till lunchtime when you can devour hearty homestyle breakfast and coffee before you head off for the day. Just give this local gem a try, and you’ll understand why everyone raves about it, and why it was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!

8. Charcoal Style

Humble food stand serving pit beef with picnic tables on a deck

Often, you’ll find the best stuff in those hole-in-the-walls, hidden gems around the town, and that’s exactly the case with Charcoal Style.

Tucked away beside the Go Kart track in White Marsh, this low-key stand serves up juicy pit beef and turkey, made in-house daily by the hard-working folks behind the window. Place your order at the stand, then munch on all that good stuff at the picnic tables on the deck behind, which is covered by a bright yellow tent (in case you can’t find the place, you’ll know what to look for!). It’s as unfussy and simple as that.

The menu is equally straightforward, offering pit ham, beef, and turkey on buttery brioche rolls. And these aren’t your ordinary subs and rolls either – they’re loaded with succulent, juicy meat, and stacked high with it to satisfy your inner carnivore. You can also devour all three types of meats with their Triple Threat sub or the Mega threat, which offers a hefty bite of all meats, sausage, and some cheesy goodness. Don’t forget to order their home fries, also freshly made and served piping hot, so expect a little bit of a wait when you come here.

Drop by any day from 11 am onwards for a no-fuss, lip-smacking delicious, and fresh meal of pit beef at this humble stand.
