The Best Restaurants In Hertford: Food Worth Waiting For!
1. Dinnio Restaurant
Upscale eatery serving Italian and Mediterranean classics with professional staff and service!
With everything made fresh to order, this Italian and Mediterranean restaurant is bound to become a hot favorite with you and your loved ones. There are just so many amazing tasty dishes to choose from, making every visit to Dinnio worth it.
Dinnio has the best of both worlds in the form of serving up Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, making it a truly unique restaurant to dine at.
Perfect for birthdays, date nights, or special occasions, this restaurant’s rustic yet modern vibe just seems to suit every celebratory event, but we don’t think you need any excuses to drop by.
When you do visit, try their Lamb Shish Kebab, Special Mixed Grill, Meat Moussaka, or Grilled Salmon which are some of their most popular menu items.
Dinnio also has a vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free menu, which is added bonus for those with dietary requirements.
This eatery is open seven days a week, making it a convenient and reliable place to visit. Catch them from noon to 10:30 pm every day.

2. Baan Thitiya
Authentic Thai delights served in a traditionally themed restaurant with professional service!
Baan Thitiya has a great vibe, and the moment you step in through their doors you feel like you’ve been transported to Thailand due to their use of Thai decorative elements and paintings.
Their expansive menu is pretty impressive too, and we’re sure you’ll find your new favorite dish in there!
Regulars recommend trying their Gaeng Kiew Wan Curry, Pad Bai Gasprao, Tom Yum Soup or Pla Priew Wan. But there’s nothing wrong with going for a classic Pad Thai of course.
Catch them open between noon and 9:30 pm, seven days a week.

3. Oishii Japanese Restaurant

Continuing our international restaurant recommendations, we bring to you another gastronomic treat located right in the heart of Hertford: Oishii Japanese Restaurant! So, if you’re a fan of spicy Asian food, especially Sushi and Sashimi, then this should definitely be on your list of go-to places.
Oishii’s décor is phenomenal as well! Full of authentic Japanese lanterns, paintings, and bamboo plants, it almost feels like you’re eating a meal in Japan.
You can definitely tell that a lot of passion and energy went into designing the décor and interior and how much effort the owners put into bringing the place to life.
Similarly, their food is also made with a lot of love! We recommend trying their Oishi Roll, Unagi Roll, and Spider Roll from their Cooked Rolls menu. Or from their Chef’s Specials try their Gin Dara and Sumyaki Sirlion Steak.
They also have a vegetarian menu if you, or your group, has any vegetarians joining in.
They are open every day of the week between noon to 3 pm for lunch and from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm for dinner, so there’s plenty of time to check the place out.

Turkish Kitchen is easily one of the most popular restaurants in Hertford and no wonder – they serve up some of the best Turkish dishes throughout the region!
Due to their popularity, the place can get fully booked quite quickly which is why they ask you to reserve a table in advance.
With reservation in hand, head over and try their Lamb Chops, Mixed Shish, Ali Nazik, Sarma Chicken Beyti or Incik – which are some of their specialties.
They also have a vegetarian menu as well as a kid’s menu, which as always is an added bonus. Turkish Kitchen also has a comprehensive drinks menu, so try their cocktails and make dining here a real evening to remember (or not!)
Turkish Kitchen is open every day between the hours of noon to 11 pm, making it a great spot for lunch or dinner.

5. Ginger Bar & Restaurant

Another great option for dining out, especially if you’re looking for exotic flavors and tastes is Ginger Bar & Restaurant. This locally owned Indian restaurant has a delicious array of delicacies to choose from. So, if you’re a fan of Indian food, you’ll love a visit to Ginger Bar.
With a colourful interior, a full-service bar, and plenty of seating options, it’s also a great place to go if you’re planning on meeting a few friends or family for a meal.
If it’s your first time trying there then consider trying the Ginger Special, Shashlik, Manchurian Chicken, Mumtaz Makhni, or Prawn Biryani. Of course, they also have numerous other dishes to choose from, so if you like something else, go for it. And if you’re not sure what a dish is, just ask the friendly staff.

Beloved neighborhood Mexican bar and restaurant with a lovely interior and fun vibe!
Dirties is a Mexican-themed restaurant and bar that’s perfect for those days when you’re craving some delicious food as well as an exciting atmosphere.
It’s quite a unique place too, as you can dine on one floor but then mingle with friends and enjoy a bar-like atmosphere on the another. They also have some outdoor seating as well! It’s definitely one of the most versatile restaurants in Hertford.
If visiting, try their Tacos, Quesadillas, Nachos, Burritos, Burgers and Churros – you won’t regret any of those choices.
Plus they are known for their use of local ingredients so everything they make is fresh and made daily – no wonder Dirties is so popular!
This restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays but open all other days from 6 pm to 12 am.

7. Lussmanns Sustainable Kitchen

With its sustainable, organic menu and lovely décor and service, it’s definitely unique in town, and well worth a visit.
Plus with friendly staff and some amazing artwork and decorative pieces displayed throughout, it’s also a lovely environment to relax and unwind in.
If you’re visiting for the first time, we recommend trying their Shepherd’s Pie for a mains and the Sticky Date & Ginger Pudding for pudding. Both are local favourites and come with their stamp of approval.
Lussmanns is open six days a week from noon to 11:30 pm, and is only closed on Mondays.
