The Top Eight Restaurants in Brentwood, TN: Food Worth Waiting For!
1. Mere Bulles Restaurant
Upmarket restaurant serving innovative Southern-inspired food in a historic setting with a beautiful patio
Housed inside the historic Maryland Manor, Mere Bulles offers elevated American eats with a Southern flair in an atmosphere that’s hard to come by in this area. It’s the perfect spot for dinner dates and celebrations and is arguably one of the finest and most elegant restaurants in Brentwood, TN.
Their dining rooms still have the old-school manor charm from the 1930s, with carpeting, wallpapers, fireplaces, and large paintings on the walls.
A sunroom at the front offers panoramic views of the surrounding business park and its luscious trees, and their spacious outdoor patio is even better. If you don’t want an elaborate dinner scene, stop by their beautifully-lit marble-top bar for small bites and some stellar cocktails.
As for the food, it’s just what you’d expect from a fine dining establishment like this – high-quality ingredients with complex flavors served with a lot of finesse. Lunch features premium handhelds like fish tacos with lemon aioli and fried catfish and shrimp with cocktail sauce and corn cakes.
Meanwhile, dinner comes with a handful of well-thought-out entrees such as coffee-rubbed duck served with purple sticky rice and a blueberry-date gastrique or seared salmon in a plum soy sauce. Specials like prime rib and seasonal seafood grace the menu occasionally.
Oh and, the restaurant hosts a brunch buffet every Sunday (9.30 am – 1.30 pm) with a glorious spread of biscuit and gravy, hash browns, creme brulee french toast, and lots of brunch-y drinks. Don’t forget to check out the chocolate fountain – go ahead and dunk your fruits in it!
As one of the most popular restaurants in Brentwood, reservations are highly recommended as this place is often busy with large groups and hosting events. Find them open for lunch and dinner from Monday-Saturday, 11 am onwards, and 4.30 am onwards on Saturday – we hear they’re super festive during the holiday season!

2. Mediterranean Cuisine
Casual spot serving Mediterranean eats with a patio offering scenic views of a pond
Mediterranean Cuisine is a hidden gem of an eatery serving a whole lot of, well – Mediterranean cuisine. As straightforward as the restaurant’s name is, it packs a punch in terms of food and ambiance.
Even though it’s situated slightly off the beaten path, it has a steady flow of hungry patrons throughout the day, and we blame their drool-worthy food for the most part, but also the stunning location. With a view of a pond and the surrounding green landscape, their shaded patio is the perfect place to spend a summer day munching on gyros and watching ducks paddle along.
The inside is pretty easygoing and casual, where you order at the counter and find yourself a seat – try and snag one by the windows for the view!
A menu featuring a mix of Greek and Middle Eastern delicacies with plenty of plant-based picks keeps the crowds coming in time and again at this Brentwood favorite.
Start with something like the stuffed grape leaves or the baba ganoush and pita as appetizers, then hone in on the main platters. The gyro platter is a popular pick, featuring tender strips of well-seasoned meat with sauce, rice, hummus, salad, and pita.
There are shawarma, kofta, and shrimp shish kebab platters too, alongside many vegetarian platters with falafels and more. And don’t forget the Moussaka (which is gluten-free) or their very-filling and super-vibrant salads that taste straight-off-the-farm fresh!
With prices so affordable and flavors so spot-on, we really think this place is a must-visit when in Brentwood. They’re open Monday-Saturday from 10.30 am onwards and Sundays from 11 am onwards.

3. The Poki
Creative poke bowls served in a minimalistic white and gray-themed dining area
Poke bowls aren’t everyone’s favorite idea of dining out, but that can change once you visit The Poki. This chic restaurant opened in late 2018 and has been stealing the poke bowl show in all of Nashville since then.
Combining fresh ingredients with unique flavors, their poke got the locals hooked in no time, and the roaring success got them opening two more locations around the area. Their ambiance is just as good – the Brentwood venue is super sleek and minimalistic, with shiny gray marble flooring, white-washed walls, and faux plants for a splash of color.
The whole build-your-own-bowl affair can be pretty fun, especially considering the wide array of sauces, oils, and toppings they’ve got. And since they’re focused on freshness, they only have a limited amount of ingredients daily.
Start by choosing your base as rice or salad, then throw in your favorite proteins – salmon, shrimp, yellowfin tuna, chicken, or tofu. Next, choose your add-ins, such as pickled ginger, masago, edamame, mango, or serrano peppers – they’ve got plenty of stuff to customize your bowl with.
Then comes the best part, which is choosing your sauce. Get innovative ones like ginger aioli, creamy togarashi, or truffle shoyu, or go classic with some gochujang. Top it with some nori or crispy garlic, and a dash of chili oil (or the many other oils they’ve got), and boom. You’ve successfully made an irresistible bowl of vibrant poki.
You can also select from one of their signature combinations, such as the Hau’oli Salmon Bowl with English cucumber, watermelon radish, edamame, furikake, and ponzu, or the Veganism bowl with organic tofu, lots of veggies, and house shoyu.
Drop by any day (except Sunday when they’re closed) from 11 am onwards to savor a big pile of deliciousness in the form of their poke.

Family-owned restaurant specializing in chicken tenders served in a casual and family-friendly atmosphere
If there’s one place that can make you abandon your calorie-reducing aspirations, it’s Maniac’s – Brentwood’s very own family-operated chicken tenders restaurant. They’ve been going at it strongly for 18 years now, and the fact that people from all over Nashville are willing to drive over to savor their food is proof of that.
A fast-casual atmosphere prevails in their dining area which has blue walls, twinkling lights, and lots of seating options for large groups and solo diners. And although lunch hours are pretty crowded here – Maniac’s is one of the best restaurants in Brentwood after all – and queues for ordering at the counter can be long, they’re pretty quick and efficient (and super friendly too!) at what they do.
Their menu is straightforward and easy, and the star of the show is the delightful chicken tenders. Lightly breaded, well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside – just as they should be. Get them battered or broiled – your pick. And when the locals tell you these chicken tenders are absolutely divine, believe them, or go try them out for yourself.
Oh and, their dipping sauces! They’ve got around nine different choices, all of which are house-made, uniquely flavored, and go perfectly with the crispy chicken. They also have West Texas egg rolls stuffed with chicken, spinach, and black beans served with salsa and their special avocado sauce.
Or if you’re more of a sammie person, their Cajun Love sandwich is just as good. Throw in a side of their ‘Cool Slaw’ too – it’s not your average coleslaw and really is 10x better!
Drop by any day between Monday-Saturday from 11 am onwards, and you’ll never look back on those chain restaurants for your fried chicken fix again.

5. 55 South
Southern and New Orleans fare with creative twists served in a fast-casual dining room with a full bar
55 South is the brainchild of Chef Jason McConnell, who grew up eating out in the Mississippi Delta area. His passion for Southern cooking clearly reflects in the dishes served here, which is why this place is a staple in this neighborhood.
Settle down inside the airy dining area, where the atmosphere is casual and cheery like that of a sports bar, with TVs on the walls and plenty of comfy seating. There’s a whole wall decorated with license plates, while another part of the restaurant has a full bar with more TVs and shelves stocked up with liquor.
As far as the menu is concerned, you’ll find it full of hearty Southern and New Orleans fare served in generous portions. Appetizers include everything from deviled eggs and fried pickles to smoked wings and buttery char-grilled oysters, and the mains are just varied.
The gumbo, jambalaya, fried catfish, and shrimp are known for being finger-licking good, as is the Chef’s version of a Po’boy with catfish, shrimp and comeback sauce on New Orleans bread. If that’s not enough, try their creamy shrimp and grits in white wine butter or the Southern fried chicken – we guarantee you’ll be swooning in delight with these!
Weekends at 55 South come with an enticing brunch spread (10 am – 2.30 pm) that includes biscuits and gravy with chile honey and eggs, innovative benedicts, juicy burgers, and of course, a round of mimosas.

6. Suki Sushi
Sushi, hibachi, and Asian entrees served in a trendy setting with a full bar
Sushi aficionados will love dining at Suki Sushi, which has been at the top of its game since its addition to the city’s dining scene in 2016.
Every plate is a colorful, show-stopping presentation of quality cuts at this Brentwood staple, alongside the perfectly grilled hibachi entrees. Their sleek interior is just as good, with trendy mood lights and a stunning full bar that has brightly-lit Japanese writings for decor – the perfect setting for a girls’ night out, or a chill dinner with family and friends.
You can look forward to a sprawling list of sushi rolls here, many of which are pretty creative. So ready your chopsticks for stuff like the Brentwood roll with Spicy tuna, salmon, and eel sauce or the Out of Control roll with spicy lobster, crab, eel, shrimp, and some honey fire sauce. There’s fresh-out-of-the-water sashimi and plenty of vegetarian rolls too.
Aside from sushi, they also serve Thai entrees, teriyaki, and of course – the ever-so-popular hibachi. Everything is super fresh, made-to-order, and seasoned just the right amount. Wash it all down with a flight or bottle of sake – they’ve got a good variety of them.
With an atmosphere this good and food so delicious, this place is honestly a no-brainer when it comes to choosing an Asian restaurant.
They’re open every day from 11 am (12 pm on weekends) for lunch and 4.30 pm onwards for dinner – no reservations needed despite being one of the most popular restaurants in Brentwood, TN.

7. Chile Burrito
Locally-owned Mexican restaurant serving fresh and authentic Mexican food and beers in a colorful ambiance
It’s hard to come by a Mexican restaurant as good as Chile Burrito in Brentwood, which is why you’ll always find it packed with hungry patrons.
Don’t be iffy over its humble strip mall exterior, because the food is authentically Mexican and packed with bold flavors, and the ambiance inside is super vibrant and chill. Colorful chairs and tables surround the dining area as bright papel picado hang from the ceiling and fun paintings grace the walls.
Get in line to order, snag a seat, and munch away. It also helps that there’s a salsa bar with a good variety and plenty of different hot sauces too!
What most people love about this place is that the entire menu is super customizable, so you can decide what goes into everything from their tacos and burritos to tortas and salads.
The options are seemingly endless too. For instance, they’ve got about a dozen meat options, including Pork Barbacoa, grilled tilapia, and carne asada.
We recommend their grilled tilapia tacos – a very popular pick – and the burritos that are overflowing with fresh veggies and sauces. Their largest burrito is a gigantic 15 inches, so order accordingly!
Don’t forget the horchata, Mexican beers, or the divine fruit tea they’ve got (seriously – people can’t stop raving about it!). Drop by any day from 10.30 am onwards (11 am on Sundays). Note: they do taco Tuesdays, so if you’re a taco nerd, you know when to visit them.

8. The Perch
Small local cafe serving sweet and savory crepes and coffee with outdoor seating
You know those cute neighborhood cafes that make you feel warm and cozy? That place is The Perch for Brentwood folks – a locally-owned cafe specializing in sweet and savory crepes. I
t’s a tiny place, with a handful of tables inside their low-key yet warm dining space, where people line up to order the brunch-y items or their daily cup of Joe. They even have some shaded outdoor seating at the storefront, ideal for an early morning breakfast when the streetside is more peaceful.
You’ll often find this place quite busy, and we blame their incredible coffee and perfect little crepes that have the locals coming back for more.
Breakfast involves various crepes, such as the Mexicana with manchego cheese, salsa verde, chorizo, and egg – we highly recommend it! The breakfast sandwich that comes on a Portuguese muffin is pretty popular too, alongside the airy and fluffy Belgian waffles, omelets, and burritos.
You can also go for their sweet crepes if your sweet tooth is particularly demanding that day. The savory ones like the Parisian with spinach, goat cheese, and ham or the artichoke and spinach-stuffed veggie crepe are great for those who are feeling more lunch-y while the rest of the group is still on breakfast. You have to try their mochas and lattes too – they’ve got all the coffeeholics hooked!
Find them open between Monday-Friday, 7.30 am – 2.30 pm and 8 am to 2 pm on weekends.
