And whilst Arizona is known for its blisteringly hot summers it does have warmer than average winters. That makes this area a great place in winter to camp out and explore the national parks, enjoy some golf, or take a chance on the roulette tables.

The Ciconine National Forest and the Superstition Mountains are close by too, so there’s many hiking and biking trails ready to be enjoyed.

1. Skyline RV Resort

A little outside Chandler, nestled beside the beautiful San Tan Mountains Regional Park, is this wonderful RV park. It can accommodate big rigs too as they have extra large pull-thru sites.

Skyline RV Resort is set among 200 acres of shaded forest and offers good sized campsites with electric hook ups in a super friendly atmosphere. The facilities are fantastic and include two swimming pools and a huge six-acre fishing pond. There’s also shuffleboard, basketball, tennis, volleyball and horseshoe courts, and a fantastic children’s playground.

They also have a large pavilion where they hold events. This is a fun, sociable place where it’s easy to make new friends. It’s definitely one of the best RV parks near Chandler, AZ.

Why You’ll Love It

Alongside the great facilities, Skyline organizes many activities throughout the week to keep you entertained.

Expect bingo nights, live music, movie nights and more held in their pavilion, and hayrides for children at the weekend! Every Friday they have Candy Bar Bingo for children too, and crafts on Saturdays.

This really is one of the best RV parks in Chandler, AZ for families.

What’s Close By

The beautiful San Tan Mountains Regional Park is right on your doorstep if staying here, and there are many hiking trails to explore and enjoy there. Horse riding and biking in the Regional Park is also possible.

There’s a few restaurants – mainly Mexican and Latin American cuisine – situated within close walking distance of Skyline. Darien Lake Theme Park is just five minutes drive away, while Chandler is just a few minutes drive away. So you’re close to plenty of shopping, eating and golfing opportunities.

2. Five Star RV Park

While they may be Five Star in name only, this quiet RV park is perfectly located in Chandler, close to downtown. It’s also run by a kind welcoming family that will go out of their way to help you out.

The facilities are basic but everything you’d need for a short stay. While the rates are pretty affordable considering you’re based in the city itself.

Why You’ll Love It

The owner Rick and his family are very kind, and run this park professionally.

Although the area around Five Star RV Park is a little rundown and you won’t get any swimming pool here, it’s a pet friendly RV park with honest, kind owners.

And as it’s located in Chandler itself you’re close to stores, shops and restaurants.

What’s Close By

When staying here you’ll be just a stone’s throw away from downtown Chandler, so close to restaurants, bars, shops and more. There’s a golf course just a few minutes drive away, along with several museums.

If you take a drive out of the city you will find plenty of hiking and biking trails, as well as rivers that are perfect for fishing and kayaking.

3. RV Resort Mesa Spirit

If you’re looking for a massive RV park with 1,800 full hook ups and incredible facilities, then this one a few minutes drive north of Chandler could be perfect!

As it’s so large you can expect a huge range of facilities. Like a fantastic swimming pool, hot tub, fitness room, ballroom, mini-golf, games room, shuffleboard and loads more.

With all of that available it’s very easy to make new friends here. In fact the park is so large that there are many full-time residents that call it home. They are mostly retirees, who take pride in this RV park, keeping it clean and quiet, and many are happy to chat away.

Why You’ll Love It

There are such friendly staff at this park that you’ll be hard pressed not to make friends with them. We also found it to be one of the most kid-friendly and pet friendly RV parks near Chandler, AZ

They even schedule events at this resort to help create an environment that can be enjoyed by all. With events going on, plus lots of social spaces like the swimming pool, games room, and picnic areas, this RV park is a great place to make new friends.

What’s Close By

You will be right next to the city of Mesa which has fishing, swimming, golfing, and shopping opportunities. There’s also spas, casinos, and plenty of restaurants.

4. Val Vista Village

This fantastic RV park just a few miles south of Chandler is known for being friendly, quiet and clean. This is an age-qualified RV park though, so you have to be 55 or older to stay there.

It’s got fantastic facilities, including a lovely swimming pool, clubhouse, spa, card room, craft room, and even a salon! With all that on offer, and many community events and activities, this is a RV park with plenty going on.

The sites are also very spacious – at least 30’ wide by 66’ deep.

Why You’ll Love It

There’s never a dull moment here and there’s a real community feel. There is literally always something to do at this park, with daily activities like live music, bingo, water aerobics, water volleyball, poker and more organized.

As this park is situated a little outside of the city, there’s plenty of nature on offer too. And Val Vista also organize hiking, biking, golf and casino days. In our opinion, this has to be one of the best RV parks in Chandler for community events and activities.

What’s Close By

There’s plenty of wonderful hiking and biking trails nearby.

Plus, as this RV park is inside the quaint town of Casa Grande, you’re never far from a restaurant. There’s also some golf courses close by too.

5. Green Acres RV Park

This is not one of the biggest RV parks near Chandler, AZ. In fact it could be one of the smallest. But don’t let that fool you into thinking it has little to offer.

Green Acres has all the amenities you’d want for a short stay – toilets, restrooms, electric hook ups – as well as a small pool. But what sets this place apart from others is that it’s right in the heart of West Main Street in Mesa.

So if you’re the type of person that loves using your RV as a base of operations and then exploring the surrounding area, then this is park could be perfect for you.

However space is limited and if you’re in a larger RV you may find it difficult to squeeze into the sites.

Why You’ll Love It

This park is right by the Metro Light Rail Station. That gives you easy access to many day trips in the Phoenix area.

This park is also part of the Good Sam program, meaning that you could also potentially get a discount. It’s also pet friendly!

What’s Close By

The Mesa Riverview Mall is quite nearby, offering a good range of eating places. The Downtown Mesa area is also known for its sculptures that are dotted all over the streets.

While the proximity to the Light Rail Station opens up lots of opportunities to explore.

6. Desert Vista RV Resort

Here is another one of the smaller RV parks in Chandler, AZ. But even with that in mind, Desert Vista still cater for some of the largest RVs one can drive.

They also offer a great stay with a recently renovated pool, hot tub and pool area for relaxing. And with a new clubhouse, a fitness room, kitchen and lots of community areas, this RV park has some of the best facilities around. The grounds are exceptionally well kept and clean too.

Just one thing to note is that at least one of member of your party has to be 55 years or older.

Why You’ll Love It

The staff are an integral part of this park and are often referred to as the friendliest in the area. So, if you’re looking for a park that offers great privacy, a friendly environment and a great pool amenities – this is definitely one worth considering.

It’s also a very well kept, clean park, with plenty in the surrounding area to keep you busy.

What’s Close By

If you are a NASCAR fan, you’ll be pleased to know that the Phoenix International Raceway is just a few blocks away. Meaning that you can go and watch a race while staying nearby in the comfort of your own RV.

Nature lover? Well there are many hiking trails in the nearby Superstition Mountains and Pheonix Mountain Preserves. On top of that there’s the upper and lower Salt River close by, which is ideal for white river rafting and tubing.

This is definitely one of our favorite RV parks in Chandler and Mesa for when we’re looking for lots of activities to enjoy.

7. Good Life RV Resort

The Good Life Resort is a very large age-qualified RV park in Mesa that caters for those who are a little older – you must be at least 55 to stay there.

The friendly atmosphere is famous locally at this RV park, and that atmosphere is created by the many activities on-site. For example they hold adult craft days, golf, dance classes, pottery classes, live music, and loads more.

So what about the facilities? Well they have pretty much everything you need. A huge pool, fitness room, community center, library, games room, fire pits, tennis courts, spa, card room, shuffleboard – we could go on and on. It’s impossible to get bored here, and impossible to not make friends too.

Why You’ll Love It

Compared to other megaparks in the Phoenix area, the Good Life Resort is slightly cheaper while offering just as much as its other counterparts – if not more. That makes it a very affordable place to visit and stay.

The activities on offer daily really makes this place stand out. They are determined to make your vacation as fun and enjoyable as possible.

They also do great coffee and donuts!

What’s Close By

You might not even want to leave this park if you visit, but if you do there’s plenty close by to enjoy.

There’s an 18-hole golf course, many opportunities for fishing, as well as hiking in the Superstition Mountains. With all of that going on, and the activities on-site, it’s little surprise this is one of our favorite RV parks near Chandler, AZ.

8. Apache Palms RV Park

What sets this park apart from many other RV parks near Chandler, AZ is that they offer free WiFi and Cable TV to all their guests – no matter the length of stay. There is also the option of taking an ‘elite suite’, which includes a grill and picnic area.

Apache Palms has plenty of great facilities, such as a pool, jacuzzi, and modern restrooms and showers. Their pull-thru sites are also big-rig friendly, and they allow dogs on site.

Why You’ll Love It

If you are looking for a green and peaceful area with plenty of palm trees – yet in the middle of the urban jungle and action – then this beautifully landscaped RV park is the place to go.

The central location of this RV park also makes it a great place to explore the area, especially as the Metro Light Rail is so close by.

What’s Close By

This park is quite close to many tourist attractions, including Phoenix Zoo and the Desert Botanical Gardens.

There’s also plenty of choice in regards to shopping and dining options. Alongside hiking trails a little further out of the urban areas, there’s also seven golf courses within just a ten minute drive!

9. Sun Life Vacation Resort

Just like the Good Life Resort, Sun Life is run by the same company and aimed at those who are 55 and above. It is a smaller RV park that caters mostly for out-of-state visitors who are looking for a warmer winter.

Facilities wise there’s plenty of offer, with highlights being the good-sized pool, tennis courts, beauty salon, games room, batting cages, and on-site bar and restaurant!

Even better, this resort has many activities every day, so you’re unlikely to get bored and will easily make friends.

Why You’ll Love It

The Sun Life Resort has so many events available on site!

Some of our favorites include the aqua aerobic classes, pancake mornings, organized sport leagues, wine tasting, themed events and variety shows. And that’s just a few of the things the park organizes!

The grounds are meticulously kept and provide a fantastic environment for people to relax and enjoy their time off. It’s a really fun and friendly place to stay. This resort also has a great bar and restaurant complete with happy hour. This is easily one of the best RV parks in Chandler, AZ and Mesa.

What’s Close By

If you decide you want to get away from the park for a few hours then urban activities are just a few minutes drive or walk away! Those include playing golf, browsing flea markets, having a go at the casinos or bowling, or visiting the many museums and restaurants around.

A little further out and you’ll find plenty of fishing and hiking opportunities too.

10. Mesa Regal RV Resort

This park redefines the word mega! With over 2000 RV parking spots, Mesa Regal is just huge.

With such a size, it’ll come as no surprise that this RV park has pretty much everything you could need.

Facilities at Mesa, which is also for 55 year olds and over, include two heated spas, four swimming pools, six tennis courts, golf driving cages, a baseball field, a beauty salon, and even a 9,600-square-foot ballroom.

This is less RV park and more hotel resort!

Why You’ll Love It

Everything a person could want is located within the park – aside from a grocery store, which can be found just outside the premises.

There are also a ton of activities to keep you busy. In fact this resort has dozens of clubs and social groups, holds Friday night dances, and organizes many sporting events and classes.

What’s Close By

If you ever want to venture out of this massive park, then The Arizona Railway Museum is a great place to visit that’s nearby. There’s also plenty of restaurants to check out.
