2. The Westwood Restaurant

The Westwood Restaurant is a Michelin-starred, luxurious British restaurant situated in a Georgian courthouse, run by a brother and sister team. It’s an ideal location for a night out with friends or family, with delicious dishes and an international theme to explore.

3. The Pipe and Glass

The Pipe and Glass is also up there as one of the best restaurants in Beverley. Situated in a 15th-century lodging house this is a Michelin-starred restaurant too! If you do visit, go and see the magnificent yew in the restaurant’s garden – it’s believed to be at least 400 years old.

This is also one of only a few places in East Yorkshire where you can enjoy a drink on the terrace. The food here is out of this world, although it can be quite expensive – but you’re paying for quality. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and decorated with antiques. Tables are small but private, so you won’t feel like you’re sitting next to other diners.

It’s a classic British restaurant with a French twist, serving steak and chips, roast belly pork, homemade pate, pan-fried sea bass, and oven-baked apple crumble. The dishes served are quite pricey because they’re worth every penny. A starter can cost anywhere between 8 and 14 pounds while main courses range from 16-25 pounds. This place isn’t cheap but it’s worth every penny.

Whites Restaurant offers a unique dining experience. They are a restaurant best known for its 4 and 9 course tasting menus where you can have up to nine courses! The selection of starters, main courses and puddings are all cooked with the finest ingredients to ensure a truly memorable dining experience.

The Beverley Arms Hotel is most known for being a historic 18th-century coaching inn, with a fine dining restaurant, bar and rooms. Ogino is another fantastic restaurant, but it’s isbest known for its superb contemporary Japanese cuisine.

You’d probably not expect to find Japanese food at any restaurants in Beverley. So at first glance it was a bit strange to see two sushi chefs behind the counter. However Ogino really does serve some exceptional contemporary Japanese food. But what makes them so special?

Well, they only use the freshest ingredients and all are from in and around Beverley. The typical dish consists of fresh fish, which is grilled to perfection with teriyaki sauce. But Ogino does not stop there — it presents its dishes as works of art. Beautiful cuisine for a beautiful night out!

8. The Altisidora

The Altisidora is a breathtaking pub made up of a 15th century collection of buildings, set in the heart of Beverley. The pub itself is a warm and welcoming place to enjoy great food and drink with friends, whether it’s for a spot of lunch or for a more formal dinner.

The conservatory dining room is one of several dining areas that offer a bit more privacy, but you’ll also find enclosed glass verandas and an outdoor beer garden. For us, one of the best places to enjoy your food is by the pond in the garden.

The Altisidora is known for its delicious food, which stays true to traditional English dishes without being boring or bland. Expect to find everything from crispy-baked haddock and chips to traditional Sunday roasts on offer, as well as local specialties such as meat pies and Wensleydale cheese. The restaurant also offers a kids menu, making it the perfect place to eat out with family.

The freshly sourced ingredients at this restaurant can even be found in dishes like homemade burgers and fish & chips. Modeled after popular British cuisine, the beef comes from local farms. To give it an extra-special touch, many of the dishes are garnished with a secret sauce that uses only the best ingredients!
