You can find plenty of picturesque beaches on Oahu, but as a busy and very populated island the issue here is the crowds. You’ll need to stake out a spot fairly early in the day if you’re looking to relax in the sun at the best beaches.

Due to its size, Oahu has a great variety of stays. Of course, you can find your typical chain resorts and hotels, like Marriott and Hyatt, located centrally to shopping and restaurants.
Oahu is also more budget-friendly due to the sheer diversity of options, so this island is a good option, whatever your price point is.

Stop by the Polynesian Cultural Center for an enriching educational experience. This center has interactive exhibits, recreated villages, and cultural demonstrations, so there’s always something to see here.
The Pearl Harbor Visitors Center in Oahu is also a big draw to the island, and it’s free admission to get in, so it’s a cost-effective way to get lost in history for the afternoon.
Oahu is also a shopping hub, with many local stores and luxury boutiques, so no worries if you forgot to pack something in your suitcase – you’re sure to find what you need here.
