Our Top Eight Best Restaurants In Riverton WY: Places You’ll Never Forget!

1. Rusty Truck

Whether it’s a casual lunch burger or a steak dinner, the Rusty Truck is Riverton’s trusty go-to place for a tasty affordable meal and some good beer. You can’t miss this place either, as there’s a huge old truck parked for decor on the outside!

Meanwhile, the interior is spacious and simple, with modern lighting and a lively, friendly atmosphere along with a sports bar, where you can watch the staff whip up tasty cocktails for patrons.

Their menu is pretty vast and impressive too, spanning from homestyle burgers to elegant plates of salmon and steaks, along with lots of vegetarian options.

What will really make you drool, though, is their Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas. Made with homemade pizza sauce and dough made from scratch, these pizzas have the finest ingredients, so you know you’re in for a treat! We suggest trying the Pig in the Garden Pizza, which has sliced prosciutto, arugula, and fresh mozzarella – simple yet divine!

If you’re in the mood for seafood, spring for the Beer Battered Shrimps that aren’t just deliciously fresh but are made with Rusty Truck’s house-made, well-seasoned batter. And for burger fanatics, the Spot Welder is a spot-on pick that comes with roasted green chilies, crispy bacon, pickles, char-grilled beef, and lots of melted cheese. A fantastic combination!

Opt for one of the many local beers on offer to accompany your meal and finish off with their ice cream desserts, and you’re good to go!

Rusty Truck is easily one of the best restaurants in Riverton WY, and is open every day from 11 am to 9 pm.

2. The Depot

Craving Tex-Mex food? Head towards The Depot, located near Riverton’s downtown area for all your Mexican-inspired fixings.

This place has been dishing out flavorsome, affordable food since 1994, and is built on an old train station dating back to the early 1900s, hence the restaurant’s name. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but once you step in, you’ll find yourself in a cozy, homey atmosphere with wood furnishings and fun Mexican decor.

As for the menu, it’s chock full of Mexican favorites – fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, tostadas, burritos – you name it!

Start off with their Nachos Grande for the appetizer, which has heaped layers of beans, olives, tomatoes, cheese, guac, and sour cream. Once you’ve got your teeth into that we recommend trying their Smothered Burrito – a messy, chaotic plate of a tortilla filled to the brim with your choice of fillings, and then drenched in their special green chili and cheese.

The food here isn’t particularly spicy, but you can always request the friendly staff to make it hot! The Depot also has a very good drinks menu, so you can enjoy stuff like Margaritas, Pina Coladas, and exciting Mexican beers.

While the place is mostly self-service, where you order at the counter and the food is brought to you, the staff are still very hospitable and make sure you’re good on everything.

Their mouth-watering food keeps the place buzzing with locals too, so if you’re passing by Riverton, don’t forget to drop by and say Hola! They’re open from Tuesday to Saturday from 11 am onwards for lunch and dinner.

3. Perrett’s

It’s hard to find good Italian food everywhere, but luckily for Riverton residents, Perrett’s has been feeding the neighborhood with delicious, authentic Italian staples for years.

Located in the heart of the town, this humble diner has a neat little seating area inside, while the patio has shaded seating with charming wooden tables and benches and flowers growing during the summer.

Their menu hits all the corners of soulful Italian cuisine, featuring Italian favorites like pizzas and calzones. For those of you with adventurous taste buds, we recommend the Spicy Hoola Pizza – a mix of bacon, chicken, pineapples, and jalapenos over a sweet and spicy barbeque sauce. If pineapples on pizza aren’t your thing, then try the Dad’s Pizza which has all the familiar ingredients you’ll love – pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and loads of cheese.

Oh, and don’t miss out on their subs, as they’re made with freshly-baked homemade bread! The good ol’ meatball sub, which is loaded with marinara and mozzarella always hits the spot, as does the crispy fries that come with it. Wash it down with some of the many beers they have on offer, and you’re all set for the day.

Speaking of drinks, Perrett’s often holds wine tastings, so if you happen to be in town, don’t forget to check out their socials to see if they’re holding an event.

Visit from Monday to Friday between 11 am to 8 pm (9 pm on Thursday and Friday), and you’ll thank yourself for dropping by!

4. Smokehouse Burgers and Fries

If you love yourself some BBQ, Smokehouse Burgers and Fries is the best restaurant in Riverton WY for just that. Located in the heart of the town, this little sports pub is family-run and offers delicious BBQ and some of the town’s best burgers and sandwiches.

It’s an unpretentious place and you’ll find it spacious, clean, and simple, with a buzzy, lively, and family-friendly atmosphere. There are a couple of tables with bar stools in the middle while the rest of Smokehouse has comfortable booth seating to accommodate bigger parties.

Just like the surroundings here, the food is presented in a down-to-earth manner, but it’s always big on flavor and taste. Take for example their signature brisket, which is smoked on mesquite wood and melts in the mouth like butter! It’s served as thin slices on a grilled bun, with a choice of their sauces. Oh, and did we mention all of their sauces are homemade? No wonder they’re so fresh, and delicious!

While you’re here, don’t forget to try their mouth-watering sandwiches and burgers that are served with homemade fries (tip: get the cajun fries!). We love their Smokehouse Mutha Burger in particular, which is ciabatta buns packed with Bermuda onions, hickory smoked bacon, melted cheese, Smokehouse sauces, and an Angus beef patty grilled your way. It’s downright delicious, we can promise you!

Get one of their many beers on offer to accompany your meal, and you’ve got yourself a heart warming and satisfying lunch. Smokehouse Burgers and Fries is open from Tuesday to Friday, from 11 am to 5 pm, and don’t be surprised when the very friendly and kind owners come to your table and say hello to you on your visit to the restaurant!

5. Roasted Bean and Cuisine

Roasted Bean and Cuisine may be best known for their amazing coffee, but they also whip up some outstanding lunch and dinner entrees!

This is one of the more chic restaurants in Riverton WY, and draws a strong local following as their food tastes like it’s from a super upscale place but has portions as hearty as any old diner. Though there’s limited seating inside, the wood accents, black tables and chairs, and cute coffee-themed decor make this place look elegant and inviting.

Their lunch menu mainly features gourmet burgers and sandwiches, along with wraps, meat platters, and refreshing salads.

We suggest you try their simple yet delicious Prime Dip, which is a plate of their signature slow-roasted beef sliced up and served with sautéed onions, Swiss cheese, and homemade au jus (gravy).

For dinner, you might want to indulge in their decadent pasta dishes, as their pasta is made from scratch (as are all the sauces)! Try the Salmon Basil Cream Fettuccine that comes with Alaskan salmon over a creamy sauce and some fresh basil.

Fridays are Prime Rib nights here, and the meat is always house cut, cooked to your liking, and served with veggies, a garden salad, and a side of your choice. A plate of deliciousness worth waiting the entire week for!

This family-run restaurant strives to serve quality food and has friendly, knowledgeable staff, so drop by any day of the week (except for Saturday and Sunday), from 11 am onwards, and you won’t be disappointed.

You might want to check their website for updates on their operating hours, though, as they tend to keep changing.

6. Bar 10

Want some great local beers and delicious sports bar food in a relaxing environment? Look no further than the very aesthetic Bar 10.

Serving a bit of every cuisine, this place is pretty much always jam-packed with locals, but despite the popularity the vibe here is quiet, relaxing, and welcoming. It’s dimly lit, with impressive bar seating and tables alongside a wall with chic decor. They’ve even got live music on some nights, but most of the time there’s soulful country music in the background.

As for the food, it’s always freshly made, and the menu has something for all tastes. However you can’t go wrong with their Cuban Sliders, which have pulled pork, mustard, Swiss cheese, and pickles.

Don’t miss out on their pizza either, as those are made with housemade dough, and have loads of flavors to choose from. We highly recommend the Sweet Heat Pizza which has a mix of chorizo, Italian sausage, jalapenos, and caramelized onions over some Thai sweet chili – an innovative and delicious treat.

Their list of cocktails and beers is seemingly endless too, and we know you’ll have some of the best Sangrias and Bellinis in town here!

Bar 10 is open every day (except Sundays) from 4 pm to 2 am, so it’s perfect for a late-night meal when passing through Riverton, or some beers with your pals while on the road.

7. The Trailhead Restaurant

The Trailhead is probably the busiest restaurant in Riverton on most days, and once you dig into the delicious classic American cuisine served here and experience the outstanding service, you’ll understand why. Think indulgent steak dinners in an unpretentious environment – that’s what this place is all about.

It definitely has a Western flair to it, with wood paneling and eclectic decor along with bar seating to accommodate as many guests as possible. There’s even a soup and salad bar here, where you can load up your plate with fresh goodness.

It’s the hearty food, though, that keeps the crowds coming back for more at Trailheads. Looking for breakfast? They’ve got you covered with their homestyle biscuits and gravy and other Southern classics. Lunch and dinner? There are lots of appetizing picks on the menu for this too, including fresh burgers and sandwiches for lunch and steaks and pasta for dinner.

In particular we love their made-to-order burgers that always have fresh patties with a great char, especially the signature Trailburger, which has sautéed mushrooms and onions and crumbled bacon, all tied together with melted cheese.

Whilst for dinner, you should totally try the Chicken Fried Steak – it’s their most popular, super filling dish served with homemade, creamy mashed potatoes.

The Trailhead’s cinnamon rolls are also a fan favorite and make for a delightful post-meal treat, but beware – they’re huge and one may be enough for two people! Drop by any day from Thursday to Monday from 6 am onwards, and we bet you’ll leave with a satisfied stomach.

Located in downtown Riverton, this place does justice to Asian cuisine with its simple food that has complex flavors. It’s a small, clean place with comfortable booth seating, an eclectic selection of decor, and has that local, cozy atmosphere of a neighborhood eatery.

The menu here is humongous, and we kid you not, you’ll have a hard time deciding what to order. There’s Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, and every Asian-inspired dish you could ever want! Heck, they’ve even got sushi and sashimi platters that are always fresh and worth trying out.

Fuel up on exciting entrees like the Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimps or the Mandarin Beef, all of which are served with their soup of the day and rice/Lo Mein. You can even try Vietnamese favorites like Pho, or delicious Thai picks like Kang Ka Ree which has that authentic yellow coconut curry.
