Whether you come during the day or night, the place always has a lot of hustle and bustle, it’s just that kind of restaurant. But luckily there’s plenty of places to sit so even when busy there tends to be space.

They have a set daily menu but it’s their Pizza, burgers, steaks and roasts that tend to get the most orders. Lucky Hoof also has offers and discount deals that you can make use of, such as kids meals for under £5.

3. Hitchen’s Barn

A homey and cosy environment with a unique and delicious seasonal menu by award winning chefs! Perfect for date night!

The award-winning Hitchen’s Barn was opened by two humble locals and serves elevated local cuisine from ingredients they source from across the UK.

The interior showcases the owners’ love for staying true to their roots. It’s a homey-looking space that really does feel like a decorated barn, with mismatched furniture, lots of trinkets and knick-knacks lining the walls, as well as fairy lights. It almost feels like something out of a movie!

Their food is also very special. They have different menus in different seasons, so you’ll get served something entirely different in winter than in summer – after all, they rely on seasonal ingredients and local produce.

While we can’t recommend anything specific due to the seasonal nature of Hitchen’s Barn, their steaks are very popular and well worth trying. They tend to have a good dessert selection too.

Hitchen’s Barn is closed on Sunday and Monday, but open all other days from noon to 3:30 pm for their lunch service and 6:30 pm to 11 pm for their dinner service.
