1. Joses Restaurant & Grill
Family-friendly Mexican eatery serving all your favorite dishes with a great ambiance and exceptional staff!
Mexican food is always a mini celebration, as the flavors and spices make it one of the most festive cuisines in the world. So, even if you don’t have any cause to celebrate but still fancy good food that feels like a celebration, head on over to Joses Restaurant & Grill and make a special evening out of their Mexican dishes!
The ambiance is simply gorgeous, and for many it almost feels like they’ve been transported to Mexico as soon as they walk inside. With Mango and Terracotta colored walls and many architectural wonders inside the restaurant, this place really is photogenic.
Their menu is also huge, and they have everything that you could ever dream of ordering in a Mexican eatery, with their own twist on some of the recipes. So, whether you like Enchiladas, Tacos, Burritos, or other goodies, we’re sure you’ll find them at Joses.
Plus, they have a separate kids’ menu as well, full of delicacies that your little one will definitely enjoy without fuss. Making it a great family-friendly place to choose when in town.
Joses Restaurant & Grill is closed on Sundays. They are open every other day though, so there’s plenty of time to drop by. Their schedule is Monday to Saturday from 10:30 am to 10 pm.

We often make sure that we always recommend some superb snack places where you can grab a specialty item with a cup of coffee for takeout, and one such location in Magee is Lee’s Donuts.
This local donut shop has some of the best donuts you’ll ever have, alongside some other breakfast favorites that locals love as well. It’s a great stop to pick up some breakfast or brunch goodies before exploring the area.
And while this little eatery might not be much to look at on first glance, they actually have shelves and shelves covered with their wares and the inside just smells wonderful – like freshly baked goodies. The aroma alone will make your mouth water!
Their donuts, apple fritters, and pigs in a blanket are some of the most sought-after menu items, so make sure you order some of those. Apart from that, you can always ask the staff for their recommendations too. If you’re going there for the first time and want a little bit of everything to try, they’ll help come up with the perfect order for you.
You can also grab a cup of coffee to pair their tasty creations with if you’re a coffee lover!
Lee’s Donuts is open from 5 am to 1 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. On Sunday they are open from 6 am to 12 pm and on Monday they are closed.
So, make sure that you go according to the day and time they are open to avoid missing out on their awesomeness. Plus, some days they sell out of their stuff early, so make sure you don’t go to late during the day.

So on days when you just want something warm and comforting, head on over to The Vault Eatery & Drinkery because they have the best food, some great drinks, amazing décor, and professional service. All the plus points that make it easily one of our favorite restaurants in Magee, Mississippi.
The place’s vibe is fantastic too. It’s a cross between an old-fashioned saloon and a modern bar, making it a really interesting place to spend some time in.
With a wooden bar, many tables, and booths to choose from, they have enough space to accommodate everyone, and they need that too, because it’s a very popular hangout that many locals frequent. Besides, they host a lot of community events here too, so it’s usually packed.
The food is heavenly, seriously, you’ll likely be on cloud nine from the very first bite. Their steaks, burgers, crab cakes, and shrimp alfredo are all local favorites and some of the most ordered dishes. They also have many other items on the menu and if you’re in the mood to experiment, we’d encourage you to order whatever you feel like. That’s because all of their food is made fresh, from scratch, daily!
The Vault Eatery & Drinkery is closed on Monday and Tuesday. But they are open on Wednesday to Friday from 11 am to 9 pm. On Saturday they open from 5 pm to 12 am and on Sunday they open from 11 am to 2 pm. So, there are plenty of varied times you can show up, it’s all up to you!

Not only is it known for its exquisite selection of Japanese food but it’s also famous is town for its flavor and taste. So, if you’re a sushi lover, you’ll thoroughly enjoy this place, and even if you aren’t, you’ll likely love trying out their other Japanese dishes and indulge in the thrill that comes with trying something new!
The vibe and aesthetic of the place is great too! With lemon-colored walls, multiple Japanese-inspired decoration elements, and booth-style or table-style seating to choose from, you’ll feel like you’re actually in Japan and that feeling really puts you in the mood for some amazing food.
Apart from this they also have superb staff, who are generous, kind and very helpful, especially if they know you’re a tourist and visiting for the first time.
As for their food, their Sushi, Yakimeshi, Yaki Soba, and Hibachi are among some of the most famous menu items and have the local stamp of approval, so getting some of those would be a great idea.
The menu is huge though, so you’ll probably have to come multiple times if you want to try a good selection of dishes. Even then, we think it’s unlikely that anyone can go through more than 100 menu items. But if you’re willing to try, we support that decision!
Atami Japanese Express is closed on Monday. They are open Tuesday to Thursday from 10 am to 9:30 pm. On Friday and Saturday, they are open from 10 am to 10 pm and on Sunday they are open from 10 am to 9:30 pm again. So, drop by whenever you can!

5. Zip’s Café

Voted Mississippi’s best burger multiple times, this burger joint will have your mouth watering as soon as you enter the place.
Known for its big, bold, and zesty flavors, Zip’s Café has several options outside of burgers, however, the happiest of people will be the ones who love meat, burgers, and steaks, since those are what they do best!
Zip’s café’s interior feels a bit like a diner and a restaurant meshed together. They have some awesome colored chairs and tables that add a pop of color to the place, plus, large bay windows that let in a lot of light and warmth to the space as well. Apart from this, they also have super nice staff that’s always ready to lend you a hand with anything, no matter what it is, making you feel like you’re a part of their family!
Back to their food, they have burgers, sandwiches, po boys, and numerous sides and salads to choose from, making them a great lunch or dinner option. Whichever kind of brew or style you prefer, we’re sure that you can get it here, besides you’ll be supporting a local vendor which is always a good thing!
It’s a small, pick-up-only, kind of joint but its location is very convenient and easily accessible, so it definitely should be on your list of cafes and restaurants to try in Magee.
They have numerous signature drinks that are some really interesting and special creations, but they also have favorites like espressos, lattes, and other coffees too. Plus, they make some of the most refreshing lemonade in town, that’s just perfect when the weather’s hot.
On top of that, they make some amazing bagels and breakfast items as well, so if you just want to grab some yummy breakfast treats and be on your way then that’s possible too!

They have some of the most delicious seafood options that you’ll find in town, making them one of the best restaurants in Magee for those who enjoy seafood dishes!
In an attempt to not bother a tree growing on the property, the restaurant was actually created around that old tree so it peeks through in the middle of the restaurant. It really is quite amazing to see the tree right there in all its glory and it certainly adds whimsy and magic to the place, especially at night when it’s decorated with lights!
Apart from that, it’s a very rustic space with lots of wood and stone features made. It truly is a spectacular location to dine in.
This eatery is essentially a Seafood buffet with some amazing varieties to fill your plate. However, if you want to have only entrees then they have that option too and most of the stuff on the buffet can be ordered separately too. It just depends on what you want to eat and how much.
Of course the buffet lets you get a little something of everything, which can be great if you like trying a lot of things at once, if not, you can always order an individual entrée. But whatever you end up going with will likely be absolutely delicious, rest assured!
Berry’s is closed on Sunday. They are open from Monday to Wednesday 11 am to 2 pm. On Thursday they open from 11 am to 2 pm for their lunch service and from 4 pm to 9 pm for their dinner service.
On Friday, they again open from 11 am to 2 pm for their lunch service and then from 4 pm to 10 pm for their dinner service. Finally, on Saturday, they are open for their lunch service from 11 am to 3 pm and for their dinner service from 3:30 pm to 10 pm.
It can get confusing with all the different timings so just check their schedule for the day whenever you plan on visiting.

It is another buffet-style restaurant that locals love and have enjoyed ever since it first opened its doors. With a whole host of dishes to taste, this is one buffet we wouldn’t want to miss!
The interior is super nice! With brightly painted walls and ceilings, a huge open floor seating plan with booth and table style options to choose from, and a cute little built-in pond in the center of the restaurant that has small turtles that you can watch, it’s a lovely spot to dine at. The entire scene is very calming and people love coming by to check on the little turtles. Food and tiny little mascots to see? Yes, please!
They have so many different dishes to choose from, especially in the buffet. You have chicken, pork, beef, rice, seafood, soup, appetizers and many other mouthwatering delicacies that you can try. So, if you’re like us and want to taste everything that a restaurant has to offer then having the buffet option will be right up your alley.
