Baan Thitiya has a great vibe, and the moment you step in through their doors you feel like you’ve been transported to Thailand due to their use of Thai decorative elements and paintings.
Their expansive menu is pretty impressive too, and we’re sure you’ll find your new favorite dish in there!
Regulars recommend trying their Gaeng Kiew Wan Curry, Pad Bai Gasprao, Tom Yum Soup or Pla Priew Wan. But there’s nothing wrong with going for a classic Pad Thai of course.

Oishii’s décor is phenomenal as well! Full of authentic Japanese lanterns, paintings, and bamboo plants, it almost feels like you’re eating a meal in Japan.
You can definitely tell that a lot of passion and energy went into designing the décor and interior and how much effort the owners put into bringing the place to life.
Similarly, their food is also made with a lot of love! We recommend trying their Oishi Roll, Unagi Roll, and Spider Roll from their Cooked Rolls menu. Or from their Chef’s Specials try their Gin Dara and Sumyaki Sirlion Steak.
They also have a vegetarian menu if you, or your group, has any vegetarians joining in.
They are open every day of the week between noon to 3 pm for lunch and from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm for dinner, so there’s plenty of time to check the place out.

If it’s your first time trying there then consider trying the Ginger Special, Shashlik, Manchurian Chicken, Mumtaz Makhni, or Prawn Biryani. Of course, they also have numerous other dishes to choose from, so if you like something else, go for it. And if you’re not sure what a dish is, just ask the friendly staff.

Dirties is a Mexican-themed restaurant and bar that’s perfect for those days when you’re craving some delicious food as well as an exciting atmosphere.
It’s quite a unique place too, as you can dine on one floor but then mingle with friends and enjoy a bar-like atmosphere on the another. They also have some outdoor seating as well! It’s definitely one of the most versatile restaurants in Hertford.
If visiting, try their Tacos, Quesadillas, Nachos, Burritos, Burgers and Churros – you won’t regret any of those choices.
Plus they are known for their use of local ingredients so everything they make is fresh and made daily – no wonder Dirties is so popular!
This restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays but open all other days from 6 pm to 12 am.

If you’re visiting for the first time, we recommend trying their Shepherd’s Pie for a mains and the Sticky Date & Ginger Pudding for pudding. Both are local favourites and come with their stamp of approval.
Lussmanns is open six days a week from noon to 11:30 pm, and is only closed on Mondays.
