Carlene Galbreath always wanted to establish a place where she could feed everyone her family’s recipes, and after being complimented on her food incessantly by neighbors, friends, and families, she finally decided to open a place. Galbreath’s Country Buffet is the fruit of her labor and a popular local hangout spot in Hamilton.

The restaurant is simple and unassuming with multiple booth style seating along a corridor. The buffet stand acts as the centerpiece of the restaurant and deservedly so. They have a different menu every day, so you’ll always be blown away by the variety of the spread that’s served.

The buffet is super popular with everyone in town too, and so as one of the most popular restaurants in Hamilton, AL this place can get a little busy, however the food and the service make it worth it.

Claimed to be one of Hamilton’s best-kept secret, this family-owned establishment has eluded many tourists till now. But residents have been frequenting the eatery for years and so it truly is one of the best restaurants in Hamilton, so if you have a chance to dine at Oh Bryan’s Steakhouse, just go for it!

Oh, Bryan’s is a bright and airy place that feels comfortable and warm. With old movie posters, and other eccentric knick-knacks acting as decoration, the place has a great character. Their tablecloths are also equally zany – the print looks like old newspapers!

As far as the food is concerned their most famous offerings are the steaks, burgers and grilled chicken breast. All three come with some amazing sides and sauces.

Apart from this, they also have some pasta, salads, and pork/rib chops, making them a great choice for the entire family. No matter what everyone wants, Oh Bryan’s will probably have it!

There are truly only a handful of restaurants in Hamilton that can feel like home, but J & V Ole Smokehouse is one of them.

The hardworking folks who own it are always around to lend a kind word or appreciate their patrons’ support. You really feel like a part of their family the minute you step inside, it just makes the world seem kinder.

It’s a very comfortable and cozy place to dine in too, with wooden booths and table-style seating in an open lounge that overlooks the kitchen. There’s also huge bright windows that let in a ton of sunlight and are the perfect spot to sit next to during the colder months.

Apart from that they really promote local talent by setting up live music gigs every now and then, so if you want a side of entertainment with your food, you’ll know where to go!

As for the food, they have some of the best-tasting delicacies that you are ever going to taste. Whether it’s their BBQ, their Smoked Chicken Ribs, or their burgers, everything they make and serve is known for being very good. The owners also post the daily menu on their Facebook page, making it easy to see what they are serving before finalizing your decision to go.

But as one tip, their chocolate cake and Strawberry pie are well worth trying and the perfect ending to any meal.

J & V Ole Smokehouse is closed on Mondays. They are open every other day apart from that, though. Catch them Wednesday to Thursday from 11 am to 8 pm or on Sundays and Tuesdays from 11 am to 2 pm.
