If you’re thinking of heading to Farmville, or are passing through sometime soon, here are some of our favorite restaurants to stop at for a bite to eat!

The Best Restaurants In Farmville, NC: Food Worth Waiting For!

1. Plank Road Steak House

Neighborhood steakhouse serving some of the best-charred meat in town! Perfect for date night. Outdoor dining is available too.

Having a steak made to your particular specifications can sometimes be rare (pun intended!), and so the opportunity to go to a steakhouse where they’ll serve you steak just the way you want it is going to be too big a chance for most meat lovers to pass on.

So, try out Plank Road Steak House whenever you’re in Farmville and you’ll fall in love with the food, the place, and the team. We promise!

The restaurant feels rustic but in a modern kind of way with exposed walls and ceilings, lots of wooden features, and many interesting and fascinating decorative elements.

Not only is their indoor lounge a cozy place to have a meal in, but their outdoor patio is just as fun and has arrangements made for summer and winter weather, making it a perfect year-long feature to enjoy.

Their food is sublime too: their steaks are by far their most requested menu item but they also have grilled fish, grilled chicken, sandwiches, and loads of sides to complement any entrée.

Apart from the food, they also have a comprehensive wine list that adds another layer of sophistication to the meal – choose between a bottle or a featured cocktail made by their bartenders and you’ll be in seventh heaven.

Plank Road Steak House is closed Sunday through Tuesday but opens from Wednesday onwards from 5 to 9 pm.

2. Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

The name says it all! A vintage-style hamburger joint that’s just one of the most unique places to visit in town.

If you want to visit a one-of-a-kind vintage burger joint that’ll bring back nostalgic memories of your childhood then head on over to Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries. It’s a super cute retro-themed café that you’ll absolutely love.

The interior takes you back through time, with black and white checkered flooring, pink and blue walls, and matching booths and chairs. The walls also have memorabilia from the past, including vintage pictures and posters that just go really well with the theme

Their burgers are made with fresh patties that are not frozen, their cheesesteak sandwiches are made with fresh beef and their salads use the best ingredients possible, so what are you waiting for? Head on down for some amazing mouthwatering delights!

They also have a children’s menu and lots of desserts to try.

3. China One

Authentic Chinese cuisine served in a traditional atmosphere with professional service!

We hope you get as excited about Chinese flavors and spices as we do, because, let’s face it, what’s not to love about the cuisine? And if you want to hit the best Asian spot in town then head over to China One and get your weekly dose at the best Chinese restaurant in town.

The restaurant itself is small but clean. There are numerous odes to the owners culture and heritage, from Chinese lanterns to calligraphy and other thematic wall art displayed on the walls.

They

have some seating options to choose from, but you can decide to take your food to go and enjoy it wherever.

Their menu is large and extensive, with over 30 dishes to choose from! Their best and most recommended dishes are under the heading ‘Chef’s Specials’ so make sure to comb through those.

Apart from those they also have more options, and if all else fails and you’re still struggling to come up with the perfect order, then ask your server for recommendations and suggestions and they’ll be more than happy to provide you with help.

China One is closed on Monday and open all other days of the week from 11 am to 11 pm, leaving plenty of time for you to visit them.

4. Farmville Pizza

The best Italian you’ll find in the region, perfectly family-friendly, housed in a bright, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available too!

There’s nothing like an authentic Italian Pizzeria that’s locally owned and family operated! Their recipes are passed down through generations, making sure that you only get to eat the best of the very best. With that the case, you simply have to go to Farmville Pizza whenever you’re in town. It’s unmissable and irresistible.

The interior has a bright and airy outlook, mostly due to all the natural light it gets from the massive bay windows at the front of the restaurant. With wooden flooring and dark wood seating, the place looks classic yet inviting. Some decorative elements are a throwback to their Italian roots and make the place even more genuine.

All in all, it’s a great atmosphere to dine in. They also have a few tables right outside the main door, so if you want to dine alfresco, that’s also an option.

As for their food, they have all the traditional Italian favorites that everyone knows and loves including Chicken Parmigiana, Calzones, and Strombolis.

However, they are mostly known for their fresh pizza! Their paninis are also highly recommended, and they have some veggie options as well if you’re a vegetarian. We’d recommend ending the meal with one of their desserts, either the Cannoli or their Tiramisu both of which are perfection!

5. Gorhams Café

Popular local hangout spot selling delicious BBQ served with a side of hospitality.

We thought we’d feature at least a few BBQ places for all you meat lovers out there and the first one that makes the cut is Gorhams Café.

Gorhams is a supremely popular local BBQ joint that’s a little under the radar for tourists, so you’ll see a lot of local patrons wafting in and out of the place. It’s big on community spirit too, so don’t be surprised if you see everybody on a first-name basis with the staff and owners!

Gorhams looks like a traditional local diner with a red and white checkered floor, fun and quirky wall decorations, and plenty of booths and table-style seating.

It’s not very big and so it can get busy, but that’s to be expected with the quality and standard of food they are selling. They also have a television, so if you’re following the game and don’t want to miss the action, you can enjoy your food and football together!

Their menu is divided into 3 sections, one is the everyday menu that’s full of their regularly sold items like their meats, sandwiches, combos, etc. They also have some specialty items which are special sides that complement their food.

Lastly, they have a Tuesday Special menu that has stuff that’s only available on Tuesday including their supremely popular Hamburger Steak Plate, so if you’re around on Tuesday, you know where to come.

This restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays but they are open all other days of the week mostly from 10 am to 7 pm.

Whether it’s the food, the atmosphere, or the service, there’s just something about Bonnie’s that feels right.

Bonnie’s Café even looks and feels like a home, as it’s done up with a cozy vibe that just makes you want to relax and unwind. It’s bright and warm during the morning and warm and welcoming in the evening, so regardless of when you show up, you’ll find it as soothing and calming as possible.

Plus, the staff are also super friendly, which adds another layer of kind-heartedness, a specialty that the locals of the area are known for.

7. Mi Cabana

Authentic Mexican cuisine served in a lively environment with exceptional service!

If Mexican food put you in the mood for a celebration, then dance your way to Mi Cabana, one of the best Mexican restaurants in Farmville.

Not only are they known for their authentic flavors but they are also known for their superior service and festive interior, so if you’re having a blue day and need a pick me up Mi Cabana should be where to go.

With yellow and orange walls and multicolored seating, the place encapsulates the essence of sunny Mexico and will definitely give you vacation feels!

They also have a fully stocked bar and are known for their Margaritas, so make sure you try some with your meal to really complement whatever you end up having.

As for their food, they have a huge menu but don’t worry, all your favorites are available. They are most known for their enchiladas, fajitas, taco Sslad, and nachos, so make sure to try those.

They also have a large seafood section as well as a dessert menu that you simply must try something from after dinner. We recommend the flan or the fried ice cream!

Mi Cabana is closed only on Saturdays and open all other days of the week from 11 am to 2:30 pm for their lunch service and from 5 pm to 9 pm for their dinner service.

The best place to get fresh, fried chicken in Farmville! Need we say more?

A popular local chain in North Carolina that sells the best fried chicken you’ve probably tasted, Bojangles is a place that you simply must try at least once.

Whether it’s their quirky name or advertising, something about the place just feels like fun and the chicken is one of the most highly recommended local food delights in town. High praise, given the kind of competition it has.

The place is a great space that’s usually full of a lot of hustle and bustle, due to it being one of the most popular restaurants in Farmville. The place is huge, with many seating options to choose from, however, the best ones are near the window, shhh don’t tell anyone we told you! They are perfect for winter and just right for summer.

Apart from their chicken, they also have sandwiches, salads, and sides that you can try whenever you go.

For parents of fussy eaters, you’ll be pleased to hear that they have a dedicated children’s menu as well, featuring your little ones’ favorite treats! Plus, their dessert menu is phenomenal too, try their Bo-Berry Biscuit or Sweet Potato pie and you won’t regret it.

Bojangles is open from 5:30 am to 10 pm daily, so there’s plenty of time to go and check them out.
