1. La Hacienda Restaurant

A Tex-Mex restaurant that serves a variety of family-friendly food in a great atmosphere with skilled staff.

La Hacienda is a family-owned establishment in Eastland known for its love, compassion, and community spirit. Not only do they make sure every patron at the restaurant feel at home, but they also extend the same courtesy to their staff, making it a great place to eat or work in.

You can tell how much the owners love their business and their usual customers by their behavior and smiles. It’s a wonderful place to go to and should definitely be on the list of restaurants to stop by when in Eastland.

The restaurant itself has a very comfortable interior with brightly painted walls, fairy lights, and hanging decorations. The place is absolutely enormous too, with multiple sitting lounges, as well as a bar and pub area.

They also have a lot of televisions mounted on the walls, so if you’re a sports fan, you can still keep an eye on the game while enjoying a delicious meal and spending time with family or friends.

As for the food, they have a comprehensive menu full of delectable treats that everyone can enjoy. Start off with some mouthwatering appetizers like Chips and Salsa or a plate of Nachos.

2. Louise’s Café

A multigenerational family restaurant that’s an icon of Eastland, stop by for some amazing food with a side of history!

If you’re coming from a big city and are looking for some small-town Southern love, then visiting Louise’s Café will be an absolute treat for you.

This cute little eatery was named after the owner, Louise Carter, who opened the place in 1977, but in 1988 she handed it over to the next generation, Diana Carter who has been running the establishment since then. Louise’s is a bit of a hidden gem in Eastland and you really must visit it for great food and a slice of local life.

The atmosphere of the place is very homey and comfortable. The interior may not be much to write home about, but it is simple and timeless. The outside façade of the building is really nostalgic too, and it has the same board that it’s always had since its opening. Taking a picture of two outside has become somewhat of a rite of passage for tourists, so make sure you take some too.

Inside, the restaurant is cozy and inviting, with a handful of tables to choose from. As it’s a small, family-owned affair, it can get crowded so make sure to avoid rush hour times or be a little patient as there can be a bit of a wait. It’s worth it though because the food and service are both superb!

They are mostly known for their Burgers and Sandwiches which are made fresh, daily from some of the best locally sourced ingredients you can find in Texas, so you can rest assured of their quality and standards.

Louise’s makes a mean salad as well, so try the Chef’s Salad if you want something light but delicious to fill your stomach with. They also sometimes have specials that are introduced for a limited time, so ask for them at the counter and see if they have something different for you to try.

Louise’s Café is mostly a breakfast and lunch place and their hours reflect that. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday but open Monday to Thursday from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm. On Friday they are open from 7:30 am to 1:15 pm.

It’s a large dining hall-type space full of Chinese-inspired artwork on the walls and a buffet set up on one side. China Café is closed on Mondays but opens all other days of the week. Their timings differ, so check the schedule before going. Tuesday to Thursday they are open from 10:30 am to 9:30 pm. Fro-Yo, snacks, and a convenience store all housed under one roof? We’d say it was impossible but Love Oak Café and Fro-Yo prove it to be a winning combination that not only works but is supremely popular in Eastland.

So, whether you want to grab some fro-yo to go, or want to enjoy some tasty snacks and take a breather, either option is available!

The interior is actually sectioned into 4 areas, one’s the pharmacy, the next is the convenience store with merchandise set up on shelves, then they have a fro-yo corner with tables and a bar, and then lastly they have the coffee shop and café area where they sell all their main menu and snacks.

The fro-yo corner is bright and has a great self-serve option, it’s a nice backdrop to take pictures against too, as the red and white of the logo and the wall really pops. The café area is also nicely decorated with flowered centerpieces on each table and holiday decorations depending on whichever holiday is close by.

Apart from the frozen yoghurt, they are known for their fresh salads, their delicious quinoa bowls, and their paninis, so this is a great stop if you’re looking for a light lunch that’ll keep you full but not make you feel heavy.

If you’re still hungry you can always grab some fro-yo afterwards because they have some unique and different flavor combinations that are well worth digging into.

Located on the I-20, it’s the perfect pitstop for anyone thinking of coming to Eastland or who’s just passing through. If you’re looking for amazing food, a lovely atmosphere, and some exceptional service then there’s no place like Maverick.

Mavericks is the perfect blend between an old-time diner and a modern restaurant. Their overall vibe revolves around hunting, so there are plenty of taxidermized bucks and stags hanging on the walls. With a lot of character and plenty of charm, Mavericks is a great place to come to regardless of the time or occasion.

The place sells some fantastic Paninis and melts, and in particular we recommend you try their Cowboy Panini or their Patty melt. They also have burgers that you can try, plus you can even ask for their daily specials which change every now and then. Everything they make is known for tasting amazing and the restaurant has a bit of a cult following so it’s definitely worth a visit.

Maverick Grill is closed on Sunday. They are mainly a lunch place and so they open between the hours of 6 am to 2 pm every other day.
