The Best Restaurants In Donegal, PA: Food Worth Waiting For!

1. Out of the Fire Café

One of the best restaurants in Donegal to enjoy picturesque sights and amazing American favorites. Outdoor dining is available too!

If you’re looking for a comforting, warm, and welcoming restaurant where you can relax and unwind with friends and family, then one of the best restaurants to do that in Donegal is Out of the Fire Café.

A family-friendly bar and grille that serves classic American fares at great prices. With exceptional service and ambiance, it has the power to transform any evening out into a fantastic night!

With some of the best views in town, this restaurant has a cozy indoor seating area as well as a lovely outdoor patio area where you can take in all of Donegal’s scenic beauty.

Apart from this, the cafe serves Sunday brunch, lunch, dinner, and desserts, as well as a comprehensive bar menu.

Their soups, seafood, burgers and steaks are highly rated by the locals so make sure you check all three out. Plus, their dessert options are known for being absolutely divine and are the perfect way to finish any meal, so make sure you order some for the table.

Out of the Fire Café appreciates reservations for their dinner service, but you can walk in for lunch, so keep that in mind!

Not only has it been around forever, it’s also known to serve the same standard and quality of food that it used to the day it opened. So, if you’re looking for a reliable and convenient eatery to go to where you know everything will be perfect, this is the place.

The unique inside of the restaurant will have you reaching for your camera, especially the fireplace area which is adorned with a lot of decorations, especially during the holidays. The whole place has a great vibe that feels natural and snug, just what you’d expect from a local community-friendly eatery.

Their food is well-loved too, with breakfast options being available till 2 pm! So, if you like waking up a bit late when you’re on vacation and have trouble finding a good breakfast spot, this is going to be a dream come true.

Besides breakfast, they also have a long list of sandwiches and other entrees available for breakfast or dinner, so no matter what time you show up, they’ll always have some great meals to offer you!

There’s just something about small restaurants that makes the setting more intimate and special, so if you want to try Donegal’s best pizza and have it in an environment where you’ll be looked after well, then Fox’s is a must-visit!

Their red and black décor is a bold choice but works for the kind of vibe they are going for, with some tables inside, as well as many outside if you enjoy dining alfresco.

Also, their menu is extensive too! With not only Pizzas but Strombolis, oven-baked sandwiches, bread, wings, and desserts available whenever they are open. Everything they serve is made fresh, with some of the best ingredients available locally, so you’re in great hands, no matter what you order.

Fox’s is closed on Sunday but open all other days. Catch them from 3 to 9 pm on weekdays and from noon to 10 pm during weekends. There’s plenty of time to pay them a visit, so add them to your itinerary.

Silver Horse’s interior takes its cue from the eatery’s name. From Silver wallpaper to shuttering on the roofs, everything about the place is quirky and unique, making an aesthetic that’s hard to ignore and easy to appreciate.

The shelves in this place are loaded with all kinds of baked goods, coffees, and other novelty items too – you should definitely take a look at those during your visit.

They serve all kinds of coffees, teas, and other beverages, so it’s heaven for a coffee aficionado. Plus, they also have an assortment of baked goods that complement their drinks, like muffins, scones, donuts, and cookies as well as breakfast burritos, if you’re headed over early.

Silver House Coffee is open from 8 am to 5 pm, seven days a week! Making it a great spot to end up on days and times when other places on this list are closed.

5. Foggy Mountain Lodge and Pub

A restaurant located in the middle of a forest, with amazing views, great food and world-class service!

Located in a scenic part of town, Foggy Mountain Lodge & Pub is part of a very popular local Inn. It’s a great place to spend the day in, and you can also wander around the lodge and see all that it has to offer before heading to the pub to have one of the best meals you’ll have during your time in Donegal. So, what are you waiting for?

The interior of the restaurant is historic and grand, with a cathedral-style high ceiling and stone fireplace, that’ll make you feel like you’re inside the set of a period drama.

It’s a one-of-a-kind vibe and definitely a great atmosphere to wine, dine and interact with a bunch of people who are there, like you, to take in the sights and sounds of town.

Foggy Mountain Lodge and Pub is known for its burgers, pasta, and salads, so if you’re a fan of any of those three entrees, chances are you’ll love the place.

Apart from those, they also have a lot of appetizers, soups, and sandwiches, so they should be able to cater to everyone who walks through their doors. They make everything fresh from scratch daily too, so you can taste the difference no matter what you order.

The pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but they’re open from 4 pm to 10 pm on other weekdays and from 11 am to 10 pm on weekends. You can book a table online or call them to place a reservation before going, so they know when to expect you.

Another restaurant that has spectacular views and a great location is Tree Tops Restaurant. Located in the heart of Polymath Park, you get the perfect opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy a delicious meal.

The restaurant has some truly amazing food, and because of all the nature around, it’s little surprise that there’s plenty of vegetarian options on the menu.

However the best and most highly recommended dishes are under their ‘Chef Features’ so make sure you check them out in the menu. They are also very good with any dietary preferences and requirements you may have, so make sure to discuss anything you are unsure of with your server.

There are plenty of dining spots you can choose from, whether you sit indoors in their main lounge, outdoors on their side patio, or even want to book a tree-top hut for extra privacy!

But it’s best to can call ahead and make reservations because they do tend to get a little busy due to being one of the best restaurants in Acme and Donegal.

This restaurant is closed on Wednesdays but open all other days, mostly from 11 am to 2 pm for lunch and from 5 pm to 9 pm for dinner.

Knowing how many tourists frequent their part of town, the owners at Rodney Corner have made ordering a breeze by putting all their best and highly rated food in a convenient column called ‘Local favorites’ so we’d suggest trying something from that section to get some of their most delicious food.

They also have salads and appetizers, in case you just want something to nibble at to complement a drink from their huge beverage menu.

Rodney Corner is open every day from 11:30 am to 2am – so, you can always sneak out for a midnight snack too!
