Ayia Napa Nightlife That Locals Love: Best Bars, Clubs, Food & More!

Ayia Napa can be found on the eastern coast of Cyprus and is renowned for its buzzing party town atmosphere. Named after the Ayia Napa Monastery, it is a great combination of nightlife, history, and culture. Monasteries and clubs are not two words you usually find in the same sentence, but here in Ayia Napa, the central square of Plateia Seferi is not only home to the monastery but also to some of the trendiest themed bars and clubs around!

After a day spent on the beach or lazing by the pool, the neon glow and pumping music of Ayia Napa nightlife await.

That buzzing party atmosphere kicks off late afternoon until the early hours of the morning. So whether you are looking for the perfect spot to watch the sunset, enjoy a relaxed evening of tantalizing food and one too many cheeky cocktails, or a party to remember, Ayia Napa is the place to be.

In fact this is not the place to come if you’re looking to relax. Stay at home for that. Away from the incredible nightlife filled with bars and clubs, Ayia Napa also has some pretty cool events like the legendary fantasy boat party and full moon beach parties – in true Ayia Napa style, the full moon is not required as these happen weekly. This is one party town you will definitely be coming back to!

Below we share with you the best Ayia Napa nightlife spots, and show you exactly why they’re worth visiting.

Our Three Favorite Places To Eat In Ayia Napa

Ayia Napa has a vast array of restaurants offering just about any cuisine you can think of.

As with any coastal town you have to take advantage of the sea-to-table experience and Ayia Napa has some of the best seafood restaurants around.

Here are our top picks for an incredible meal before that all-night party!!

1. En-yevo tavernaki

This is one of our favorite places to eat and should be on everyone’s list. This small, cozy taverna with its lively atmosphere and friendly staff is very popular and you definitely need to book a table – even if it’s just for 2! This is Cypriot hospitality at its best, and one of the best ways to start any Ayia Napa nightlife adventure.

Owners Bambos and Christos pride themselves on serving freshly prepared authentic Cypriot cuisine made from the freshest local ingredients available.

Fresh fish, meat, and vegetables are delivered daily and here at En-yevo tavernaki, quality and flavor reign supreme. Plus the portions are huge.

The food is beautifully plated and the fish or meat meze platters come highly recommended – add a few glasses of local wine and you have the perfect start to a great evening.

Hours: They are open 7 days a week from 12:00 pm until 11:00 pm.

Location: Dionisiou Solomou 16, 5330 Ayia Napa

2. Sage Restaurant

Sage is renowned for its award-winning food and as they say, they aim for “Elegance, luxury and superb cuisine beautifully combined to create the ultimate fine dining experience”. For those perfect summer evenings, we suggest booking a table on the outside terrace. Al fresco dining always wins in our books.

They believe in sourcing the finest local ingredients while taking inspiration from around the world to create unique recipes that have a distinctive Mediterranean influence but with that special “Sage twist”.

We love their pre-dinner drinks menu and you can’t go wrong with the Mediterranean Sprintz made with Gin, Limoncello, fresh lime, and champagne.

Follow that up with a starter portion of black mussels while deciding on the main. Depending on your mood, their peppercorn fillet is one of our favorites or if you are in the mood to take it up a notch you won’t be disappointed with their Lobster Tail!

Hours: They are open 7 days a week from 5:30 pm until 11:00 pm.

Location: Kriou Nerou ,8, Ayia Napa

3. Taverna Napa

This family restaurant was the first taverna in Ayia Napa and has been going since 1976. This is where you will find some of the best authentic Greek seafood around – all made from those secret family recipes. And believe it or not, you’re bound to still find Aunt Niki busy cooking in the kitchen.

There is just something about this taverna, perhaps it’s the fact that it is located in an old traditional Cypriot house built in 1918. But whatever it is, you will definitely be going back again.

So grab a table, sit back and relax over some Zivania or a Napa Special cocktail, and order some halloumi and calamari while you peruse the rest of the menu.

We recommend keeping an eye on their daily specials and if you’re not in the mood for seafood, give one of their lamb dishes a chance – we love the Kleftiko and Souvlaki.

On a side note, you can’t leave without ordering their famous baklava and ice cream!!

Hours: They are open 7 days a week from 4:00 pm until 11:00 pm.

Location: Demokratias 15 Ayia Napa
