What Are The Rules & Laws On RVing In Aransas Pass, TX?

Aransas Pass has limited specific rules and laws surrounding RVing in the area, though standard laws such as a valid driver’s license and insurance are still valid.

Can I Wild Camp In Aransas Pass, TX?

In Aransas Pass, TX, dispersed camping is allowed on most public lands, including national forests, parks, and federal recreational areas. The state of Texas also generally allows you to park in state forests and parks.

Once you move into areas such as Aransas Pass, there are no permits required, but if you head across to Port Aransas on the ferry, then you must pay a permit ($12) to wild camp on the beach for up to 3 days, so be wary of where you actually are.

What’s The Weather Like In Aransas Pass, TX?

Aransas Pass offers long hot summers and short winters, and it’s often cloudy with some wind due to being a coastal town. The temperatures range from 50°F to 93°F, and you’ll find that August is often the wettest month of year, so it may not be ideal for outside activities.

The best time of year for warm outside activities is March to May and October to November. However, you can experience good weather during the other months, just prepare adequately for your activities.
